It's like Disney is ruining the legacy of 20th Century Fox. The 20th Century Studios now is not the same as the 20th Century Fox of the past.

When Disney bought 20th Century Fox (now 20th Century Studios), they bought the rights to the characters owned by 20CF, including Deadpool and Wolverine. 20th Century Studios now exists as a subsidiary of Disney (like Marvel) and it wouldn’t surprise me if this was a coproduction between 20CS and Marvel.

Free Guy is still the biggest film started under Disney. While 2024 looks to be better for 20th Century compared to the previous years, 20th Century Studios is a shell of its former self. 20th Century Fox in 2014 released 17 films. 20th Century Studios is only averaging at 3-5 films a year.

I doubt there will be a huge rush to get classic 20th Century Fox films on the service. A few years ago, Warner Bros. found that neither Netflix, Hulu, nor Amazon Prime Video were willing to renew their licenses for the pre-1970 WB/RKO/MGM catalog (aside from some classic blockbusters), even at reduced rates.

21st Century Fox was the name for the whole of Fox so cable channels, broadcast, 20th century Fox and other film assets etc. That company was sold to Disney with the bits the Murdoch's kept becoming Fox Corp. 21st Century Fox was dissolved the moment Disney took ownership with the separate bits retaining their old names at least for a while.
