Even if GTAV is still going strong, now spanning multiple console generations and with a surprisingly enduring online component, the hype for its sequel has been steadily building since 2013. Grand Theft Auto VI is delayed. Developer Rockstar Games now says it will release the highly anticipated video game on May 26, 2026. The game was first announced in February of 2022. The biggest video game of the year won't be coming out this year.
