In fact, no NFC team has had a longer NFC title game drought than the Cowboys by virtue of the Washington Commanders' shocking upset win over the Detroit Lions on Saturday night in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs.

With the Commanders advancing in the postseason, the Cowboys now have the longest NFC Championship Game drought in NFL history.

NFL Network's Ian Rapaport reported Sunday he would be surprised if the Cowboys interviewed Sanders at this point in their coaching search after firing Mike McCarthy earlier this offseason.
