TRAVERSE CITY, MI – Beginning this summer, JetBlue will offer seasonal flights between Traverse City and Boston. The non-stop service will run to and from Traverse City’s Cherry Capital Airport (TVC) on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, starting June 5 through Oct. 25, the airport announced.
JetBlue said it is the first carrier to accept Venmo payments. Customers can buy flights using their Venmo balance or through their linked bank accounts, debit cards or credit cards, the company said. Carol Clements, the airline's chief digital and technology officer, said Venmo offers customers a seamless payment option.
Queens, N.Y.-based JetBlue says Venmo currently is available on JetBlue.com, and the service will roll out on the JetBlue mobile app in the coming months. U.S. customers will be able to buy flights using their Venmo balance or linked bank accounts, or credit or debit cards, according to JetBlue.
JetBlue is already looking forward to warm weather days by adding a handful of new cities to its network, both within the U.S. and internationally.

JetBlue (Nasdaq: JBLU) already connects Pittsburgh and Boston, and has served Florida cities from Pittsburgh as well in the past. And it’s no stranger to the JFK-Pittsburgh route. It connected the two cities using Embraer 190 aircraft from June 2006 until February 2013.
Norfolk International Airport will add JetBlue flights to Boston for the summer starting April 30, the airline announced Wednesday.
