A University of Pittsburgh student went missing after traveling to the Dominican Republic.The student was identified as Sudiksha Konanki, 20, from Virginia. Dominican Republic authorities say Konanki went missing while "walking on a beach.

Sudiksha Konanki, an Indian-origin Pittsburg University student, went missing in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, on March 5 after a late-night swim with a “young man.” Authorities suspect drowning but have no confirmed evidence.

Authorities in the Dominican Republic are interviewing a young man believed to have been with a missing student from the University of Pittsburgh right before her disappearance in Punta Cana, a local police source told CNN.
