Manchester City have been threatened with legal action after being accused by Real Valladolid of tapping up teenage defender Juma Bah.

Real Valladolid have accused young defender Juma Bah of breaching his contract after being tapped up by Manchester City and threatened legal action.

Potential legal battles are no mystery to Manchester City, who have spent many months under inspection from the Premier League for an alleged breach of up to 115 Financial Fair Play rules. If Valladolid’s statement is true, there could be immensely negative ramifications for City.

Real Valladolid have accused Manchester City of encouraging Jumah Bah, one of their players, to sign for the reigning Premier League Champions. Juma had joined Valladolid on loan from Sierra Leonean club AIK Freetong during the 2024 summer transfer window.

Spanish side Real Valladolid said on Wednesday that Premier League team Manchester City had tapped up defender Abdulai Juma Bah and accused the 18-year-old of breaching his contract.

Manchester City have been accused of advising one of their top defensive targets to terminate his contract with Spanish club Real Valladolid.

"Abdulai Juma Bah and his agent informed Real Valladolid yesterday afternoon of their intention to unilaterally break the contract that binds both parties. Previously, yesterday afternoon, Manchester City sent a statement asking Real Valladolid to open negotiations for the player for a possible permanent transfer.
