OTTAWA, Ontario — Carson Soucy made his Rangers debut Saturday afternoon against the Senators. The Blueshirts acquired Soucy from Vancouver in exchange for the 2025 third-rounder they received in the Reilly Smith deal ahead of Friday’s trade deadline, making New York the fourth city the 30-year-old has played for in his seven-year career.

The Vancouver Canucks have traded defenseman Carson Soucy to the New York Rangers for a 2025 third-round pick, a league source told The Athletic on Thursday. The 30-year-old shutdown defender performed well for the Canucks and Seattle Kraken in the postseason the past couple of years and can play on both sides of the ice.
