BETHEL PARK, Pa. (KDKA) — Police and SWAT converged on a home in Bethel Park after a shooting on Thursday afternoon. Photos from the scene showed a heavy police presence on Chessbriar Drive near Thornwood Drive. Officers could be seen going in and out of the house, which is now surrounded by yellow police tape.

45-year-old William Adam was shot in the face after reportedly barricading himself in his apartment and pointing a gun at police. A Bethel Park officer reportedly shot him after Adam entered the hallway with the gun. Adam appears to have a cheek wound in his mug shot.
