Graham Yost revealed that the upcoming third season will be a bit lighter on the eyes. According to the finale of season two, the third season will heavily feature flashback scenes that happen three hundred years before the original timeline. These will feature a pre-dystopian Washington D.C. when humans still lived on the surface. Yost revealed:
