Linus Ullmark demonstrated why the Ottawa Senators traded for him last year as the gifted netminder turned away 48 shots on Monday night in a 2-1 win over the Detroit Red Wings.

Giving up 49 shots is not a recipe for success, but on this night Linus Ullmark showed what great goaltending can do for a team.

Jamie Drysdale and Rodrigo Ābols each scored for the Flyers in the second period, but the Senators responded with a score each time, and added two more goals in the third period.
