Manchester City have reached a verbal agreement to sign defender Juma Bah from Valladolid as they close in on their second signing of the transfer window. The Premier League champions have already brought in Abdukodir Khusanov from Lens in a deal woth £33.6m, plus add-ons.

Khusanov, who stands to become the first player from Uzbekistan to make a Premier League appearance, is reported to have cost in the region of €40m (£33.6m). A long-term contract promises to keep him at the Etihad Stadium until at least the summer of 2029.

Manchester City have finally confirmed their first signing of the January transfer window late yesterday. Centre-back Abdukodir Khusanov has joined Pep Guardiola’s side from Lens on a four-and-a-half-year deal. The signing was officially confirmed on mancity.com.

Following a breakthrough campaign in Belarusian football, Khusanov went on to join RC Lens in Ligue 1 for a low-cost fee and signing a four-year contract in the process. A first UEFA outing would come in November 2023 at the age of just 19 against Arsenal.

This week has seen Manchester City unveil Vitor Reis and Abdukodir Khusanov as new signings. The pair of centre-backs have joined Pep Guardiola’s squad from Palmeiras and Lens respectively.
