It seems like a lifetime has occurred — at least in NFL terms — since Carson Wentz last played for the Eagles. A lot has happened since his trade request was granted and Eagles general manager Howie Roseman dealt his franchise quarterback to the Indianapolis Colts in 2021.

As Wentz talked to the media before that Super Bowl, Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie made it clear that Wentz was the future of his team despite Foles' playoff run. Wentz was a 24-year-old star. In June of 2019, he signed a four-year, $128 million deal.

Once a franchise pillar for the Eagles, the quarterback will be on the opposite sideline Sunday as the Chiefs’ backup.
