Immigration and Customs Enforcement, in the first days of the Trump administration, has made hundreds of arrests of illegal immigrants across the U.S.

In its first major enforcement action under the Trump administration, ICE conducted a nationwide operation resulting in over 460 arrests, including in Illinois.

A source familiar with the matter confirmed the information to The Independent but asked not to be identified because they did not have permission to speak to the media. Some of the 308 migrants were arrested in their homes, on the street and released into ICE custody from local jails.
