According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration ( FDA ), 2,023 cases of Great Value, Chicken Broth, sold in 48-ounce containers at Walmart, have been recalled. Each case includes six units of the product, meaning 12,138 cartons of broth were recalled.
More than 2,000 cases, or 12,000 cartons, of Great Value brand chicken broth — sold at Walmart — have been recalled in nine states due to packaging failures that could possibly spoil the product, according to a notice from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
An FDA Enforcement Report said TreeHouse Foods, which made the broth for Walmart, issued a recall on Dec. 11 and phoned consignees in Alabama and Arkansas.
