Fire destroys building west of Mount Vernon
The fire happened in the 1500-block of W. Mt. Vernon Road. Firefighters arrived to find the building on the property on fire. Crews were able to put the fire out before it could spread, but the pole building and everything inside are a total loss. No people were injured during the fire. The cause is under investigation.
JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ala. ( WBRC) - A student brought a firearm to Pinson Valley High School Thursday, according to Jefferson County Schools. The school system learned about the firearm through a tip and the SRO immediately confiscated the weapon.
EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Henderson County leaders say storm debris disposal sites are now open. Officials say there are four drop off sites to dispose of tree debris from the winter storm. This includes the materials yard at Sandy lee Watkins Park, The Henderson County Fairgrounds, and Robards City Hall.
