The Michigan State women's basketball team whittled an 18-point deficit down to a single shot, but it couldn't finish the comeback against Oregon.

The Lockdown Ducks are here to stay. Oregon women’s basketball put together a wire-to-wire defensive performance on Thursday, beating No. 16 Michigan State 63-59 on the road in East Lansing to further assert themselves in the Big Ten with a fourth consecutive win.

Michigan State was outscored in the first quarter 21-8 by Oregon and was down as much as 18 in the game. Michigan State fought back in the 4th quarter to pull within three, but Oregon would hold on to get the win 63-59.
