DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — An officer-involved shooting is under investigation by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation in DeKalb County. A DeKalb County sheriff’s deputy shot an armed man while officers tried to arrest him, according to the GBI. The suspect was identified by police as 34-year-old Marquiece Beadle.

Kemp laid out his plans to overhaul parts of Georgia’s legal system to curb what he calls frivolous lawsuits that drive up insurance rates and he warned, if lawmakers can’t or won’t do it this session, he’ll make them come back and try again.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation says DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office and U.S. Marshals were serving a warrant for Marquiece Beadle.

Coroner Dontrelle Andrews said that both men were found dead after separate fights in the prison around 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, but the GDC said one was uninjured.
