Dan Hooker said he is out of his five-round fight against Justin Gaethje on March 8 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas (pay-per-view, ESPN, ESPN+) due to a hand injury. The injury was first revealed when Hooker mentioned it in a video posted to his daughter’s YouTube channel, “Zoe Hooker TV,” on Tuesday.

A hand injury has forced Dan Hooker to withdraw from his lightweight fight against Justin Gaethje in the March 8 co-main event of UFC 313 in Las Vegas.

Max Holloway excitedly supports Gaethje as an underdog in the rematch at UFC 313. Gaethje won their previous encounter, but Fiziev is favored based on current betting odds. Gaethje is on a mission to come back strong after his recent knockout loss to Holloway.

Justin Gaethje vs. Dan Hooker, one of the hottest fights of the year, is no longer taking place next weekend in Las Vegas after a broken hand forced Hooker off the card. It's currently unknown at this time if Gaethje will fight a short-notice replacement or at another event.

The co-main event would have featured Dan Hooker and Justin Gaethje on 13 May for UFC 313 in Las Vegas, but Hooker broke his left-hand bone.
