Despite another playoff loss, the Texas Longhorns are doubling down on head coach Steve Sarkisian, solidifying their commitment with a contract extension.

Multiple media reports say Texas and coach Steve Sarkisian have agreed on a new contract more than a week after the Longhorns were knocked out of the College Football Playoff.

After back-to-back trips to College Football Playoff semifinals, Texas extends coach Steve Sarkisian's contract to 2031.

Sarkisian reposted the photo with a two-word message. "Hook 'em," Sarkisian wrote. Sarkisian recently wrapped up his fourth season leading the Longhorns after joining the program from Alabama, where he served as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach under Nick Saban.
