Aetna and the University of Texas Medical Branch have reached an agreement to bring customers of the CVS-owned health insurance company back in-network.

CVS Health has eliminated more than 1,000 jobs based at or reporting to its offices in Hartford, which include the headquarters of Aetna.

Aetna policyholders will again receive in-network rates at the University of Texas Medical Branch after the companies reached an agreement, ending an almost five-year impasse.

CVS struggled financially last year after underpricing some Aetna insurance plans and the government lowered quality ratings.
