The Boston Bruins got back on track Monday afternoon at TD Garden, scoring four goals in the third period to secure a 6-3 victory over the San Jose Sharks.

The Bruins have done little to inspire confidence that a late-season surge into the postseason is in the cards. Since Neely’s comments, the Bruins are 3-3-1, dropping back-to-back games against the Sabres and Jets this week by a combined score of 13-4.

Monday and are now fifth in the Atlantic Division. But there's some players who need to contribute more to the team's success, especially Charlie Coyle.

After losing a pair of one-goal leads early, Coyle's handiwork delivered a needed victory and, at least temporarily, push Boston back into a playoff position.

BOSTON -- Charlie Coyle scored twice in the third period, and the Boston Bruins rallied for a 6-3 win against the San Jose Sharks at TD Garden on Monday. Coyle, who also had an assist, ended a 10-game drought at 8:22 to tie it 3-3, then gave Boston a 4-3 lead at 14:11.
