Two NASA astronauts who have been in space for more than nine months awaiting a return trip to Earth are finally set to come home. NASA and SpaceX (SPACE) have scrubbed Wednesday’s launch attempt of the agency’s Crew-10 mission meant to facilitate the return of U.S. astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams who have been stuck in space for nine months.

The Crew-10 mission will send four astronauts to the space station to take over for Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams’ crew, finally allowing their return home.

Four astronauts will be headed to the International Space Station on Wednesday, kicking off the return home of NASA astronauts Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore.

Two astronauts who have been stuck on the International Space Station (ISS) since June, 2024 are scheduled to return to Earth next week. Massachusetts native Sunita L. Williams and Butch Wilmore of Tennessee have been stuck on the ISS due to problems with their spacecraft, the Boeing's Starliner.

NASA and SpaceX postponed the Crew-10 launch due to a last-minute ground system issue, delaying Sunita Williams' long-awaited return from the ISS. The next launch attempt could happen on Thursday or Friday,
