Ukraine’s military and Russian war bloggers say Russian special forces walked inside a gas pipeline to strike Ukrainian units from the rear in the Kursk region

Some Russian soldiers crawled through the pipeline and waited several days for orders to attack, a Russian military blogger said.

Trump administration officials have said the economic pact would bind the U.S. and Ukraine closer together and would give Russian President Vladimir Putin pause before considering malign action against Ukraine in the future. Zelenskyy had been pressing the White House for explicit security guarantees, to no avail.

Officials say Russia has launched heavy aerial attacks on Ukraine for a second night. Without U.S. satellite imagery, Ukraine's ability to defend itself is diminished.
