Bong Joon Ho and Robert Pattinson kicked off the long-awaited launch of Mickey 17 with the first official press event for the movie in the Korean capital of Seoul on Monday.

Robert Pattinson attended a footage preview and press conference of his next Mickey 17 held at a mall in Seoul. Following his official engagements, the actor was spotted exploring the vibrant streets of Seochon.

Based on Ashton Edward's 2022 novel Mickey7, Mickey 17 sees Robert Pattinson as an "expendable" (a disposable employee) who gets sent on a dangerous mission to colonize an ice planet.

For those who don’t know, Mickey 17 marks director Bong Joon-ho’s first movie after his successful movie Parasite (2019). The movie premiered at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival, where it became the first Korean film to win its top prize. Mickey 17 will be released on the big screens on March 7, 2025.

At the event, Pattinson wore a pair of oversized trousers with a baggy silhouette and dropped crotch. The hemline of the pants bunched overtop Pattinson’s chunky boots. Pattinson also wore a loose-fitting navy shirt and layered up with a blue striped cotton shirt and blue checked cotton reversible jacket with Christian Dior couture embroidery courtesy of the men’s spring 2025 collection.
