Maryland Heights police released new details about a chase that ended with an officer hit by a car and a teenage driver shot. An eyewitness' cell phone video showed detectives walking around two stolen cars used in a weekend crime spree.

Police shot a suspect multiple times following a vehicle chase that injured one officer early Saturday morning, police said. Police said on social media that juveniles were involved in the shooting, but didn't indicate if the person who was shot was a child.

Officers with the Maryland Heights Police Department are investigating an officer-involved shooting that happened early Saturday morning around 3:30 a.m. The incident occurred in the 11800 block of Jonesdale Court.

According to a press release from the City of Maryland Heights, the incident unfolded following a police pursuit involving a pair of stolen vehicles.
