Manchester United have been told that a key Ruben Amorim transfer target, Geovany Quenda, will be a ‘real throwback’ if he arrives at Old Trafford in the summer. United largely kept their powder dry in January with only wing-back Patrick Dorgu representing a significant addition to a squad badly in need of attacking reinforcements.

Ruben Amorim said he could not get through to Marcus Rashford and that they failed to connect, but admitted he had taken a significant risk by not replacing the Manchester United striker in the transfer window.
