The Los Angeles City Council rejected former Los Angeles Fire Department Chief Kristin Crowley’s appeal on Tuesday to reinstate her title as the department’s head, leaving the public to wonder what’s next for the ex-chief.

Kristin Crowley, recently ousted as Chief of the Los Angeles Fire Department, has a new role. She'll stay with the department as Assistant Chief of operations in the San Fernando Valley.

While she was fired by the mayor as the department’s No. 1 following the devastating Palisades fire, Crowley is staying with the agency.
