The Los Angeles City Council rejected former Los Angeles Fire Department Chief Kristin Crowley’s appeal on Tuesday to reinstate her title as the department’s head, leaving the public to wonder what’s next for the ex-chief.

While she was fired by the mayor as the department’s No. 1 following the devastating Palisades fire, Crowley is staying with the agency.

At a special meeting Tuesday afternoon, the Los Angeles City Council voted against Kristin Crowley's appeal to be reinstated​ as LAFD chief, after she was removed by Mayor Karen Bass last month.
