Florida Highway Patrol says the man also tried to steal another car after the crash happened, but was unsuccessful, then left the scene on the back of a semi-truck.

The Florida Highway Patrol is responding to a deadly crash on Interstate 295 northbound near 103rd Street. All northbound lanes are closed due to the crash, FHP said. Southbound lanes also appear to be blocked too, as traffic is being directed off the interstate.

The crash closed Interstate 295 for much of the evening Tuesday after police said a man was driving the wrong way killing a motorcyclist.
