Glynn County residents are not allowed out between 6 p.m. and 7 a.m. as Georgia goes under a state of emergency.

Georgia Power says, between Brunswick and St. Simons Island, more than 10,000 power outages were reported among its customers in Glynn County, alone.

A curfew has been issued from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. in Glynn County. According to Glynn County Public Information Officer Lawton Dodd, the curfew is to discourage residents from driving and keep people off the streets.

As snow buffets Southeast Georgia and Jacksonville is hit by freezing temperatures, power outages are affecting the customers in Georgia and Florida. More than 28,000 people in Glynn County have been affected,
