A woman was killed Saturday morning after coming into contact with a passenger train, Fresno police say. Just before 10:30 a.m., officers were called to the area of Fruit and Ashlan Avenues for a report of a collision between an Amtrak train and a pedestrian.

A pedestrian was killed Saturday morning after she was struck by an Amtrak train in Fresno. Officers responded to Fruit Avenue, near Ashlan Avenue after receiving a call at 10:30 a.m. of a train colliding with a pedestrian. Officers located a woman who had been struck and killed by a train.
