Jets quarterback (for now) Aaron Rodgers was hoping to be at the Super Bowl this week after setting the bar extremely high in his return from a torn Achilles. Instead, he was playing golf at the Waste Management Open Pro-Am in Scottsdale, Ariz. and addressing questions about his uncertain future with the Jets and as an NFL quarterback.

On one hand, the Jets could look to welcome back Aaron Rodgers into the fold for his 21st season in the league. Rodgers has to also determine if he wants to retire or not as well, but as things stand, the ball is in the Jets court to start.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport did weigh in with a brief update on his future with the team, though. "Still very open as far as what happens with Jets and Aaron Rodgers," Rapoport sai

Jets owner Woody Johnson told reporters regarding Rodgers’ future on the roster, “I’m going to leave that to them,” referring to the team’s new regime. He said he will not voice his opinion on the quarterback and that if Glenn and Mougey want Rodgers back, then he’s fine with that.
