On the eve of his inauguration, President Donald Trump said an executive order suspending a nationwide ban on TikTok would be among his first official acts

Shortly after taking office Monday, the president issued the order to delay the app’s ban for 75 days. The law went into effect on Sunday.

TikTok restored service to US users on January 19 after briefly going offline due to a federal ban requiring its parent company, ByteDance, to sell its US operations.
