The State Department has reinstated the “foreign terrorist organization” designation for Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthi group, fulfilling an order announced by President Donald Trump.

The U.S. State Department on Tuesday said it was implementing the designation of Yemen's Iran-aligned Houthi movement as a "foreign terrorist organization" after President Donald Trump's call for the move earlier this year.

The United States on Tuesday designated Yemen's Huthi militant group a foreign terrorist organization, conforming with an order by President Donald Trump in January. Trump signed an executive order in late January to return the Huthis to the list of Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTO),

US President Donald Trump issued what he said was a “last warning” to Hamas to release all of the hostages in Gaza immediately – in a move that came just hours after the White House confirmed it was negotiating directly with the militant group.

Trump gravely warned that if Hamas did not release the hostages and the dead bodies of their victims quickly, then there would be "hell to pay later."
