Venture Global shares plummet as US LNG exports slow
The Virginia-based company, which just listed publicly in January, reported that fourth-quarter revenue fell 7 per cent to $1.5bn. The company said cargoes of LNG exports declined 18 per cent in the fourth quarter, with sales of LNG volumes falling 13 per cent in the three months to the end of December.
Venture Global targets major increase in LNG cargoes for 2025
Looking to 2025, Venture Global said that it expects to export between 140 and 148 LNG cargoes from Calcasieu Pass and between 219 and 239 cargos from its Plaquemines project, which commenced first exports at the end of 2024. Last year, the company sold 141 LNG cargoes from Calcasieu Pass, down from 143 in 2023
