A seven-months pregnant woman was punched in the face by a stranger as she used her phone on a subway in Queens last week, police and law enforcement sources say. The woman was on a southbound J train at the time of the rush hour attack on Feb.

New York City police are searching for a man wanted for punching a pregnant woman on a subway train in Queens. It happened Feb. 25 just before 6 p.m. on a J train at Jamaica Center-Parsons/Archer station.

The MTA rolled out its first “open gangway” subway train on the G line Tuesday, with more expected to enter service in the coming months, according to the transit agency.
