The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE) will remain open on February 1 despite it being a Saturday, due to the Union budget presentation.

Indian stock markets moved higher during the trading session on Friday, ahead of the Economic Survey, which shall be presented in the parliament later today.

Among the Sensex constituents, Larsen & Toubro gained 4.31% after reporting a 14% increase in consolidated profit after tax to Rs 3,359 crore. Nestle rose 4.25% following its announcement of Rs 688.01 crore net profit for December 2024 quarter.
