NFL draft experts have been critical of the New Orleans Saints' 2025 rookie class, ranking them as low as bottom-five in the league.

Thomas was the only defensive tackle the Saints signed as an undrafted free agent. During the 2025 NFL Draft, New Orleans grabbed Texas defensive tackle Vernon Broughton at No. 71 overall in the third round. The Saints also drafted defensive lineman Fadil Diggs, who played with the Syracuse Orange, at No. 254 overall in the seventh round.

NEW ORLEANS -- The 2025 NFL draft kicked off Thursday in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The New Orleans Saints made nine of the draft's 257 picks, beginning with the No. 9 selection on Day 1 of the three-day event.
