Two rounds of severe weather are expected to hit the Twin Cities and much of Minnesota Monday, with the major threat coming in the late afternoon and evening. But storms Monday morning could produce hail and gusty winds.

The upper Midwest is bracing for severe thunderstorms with the potential for strong tornadoes. The National Weather Service says the highest risks Monday are in portions of southern Minnesota, northern Iowa and western Wisconsin.
