Bharatiya Janata Party's candidate Chandrabhan Paswan thanked the people of Milkipur after securing a historic victory in the Assembly bypoll against Samajwadi Party's Ajit Prasad by a margin of 61,710 votes.

BJP's Chandrabhanu Paswan is leading Samajwadi party candidate Ajit Prasad by a margin of over 11,600 votes. According to official Election Commission data, the BJP candidate has secured 21,600 votes in the first three rounds of counting while the SP candidate has got 9,965 votes.

BJP candidate Chandrabhanu Paswan polled 146,397 votes against his main rival Ajeet Prasad of the Samajwadi Party, who secured 84,687 votes.
