Raised in a supremely creative Southern California family immersed in pop music, Stan Love took a different path to fame, playing four years in the NBA — including two with the Lakers — after starring at Inglewood Morningside High and the University of Oregon.

Stan Love, former NBA player has died at the of 76. He was the father of Miami Heat player Kevin Love and the brother of Beach Boys frontman Mike Love.

"I will cherish our lives spent together, whether spoofing on each other or reliving memories," Mike Love wrote on Instagram.
