Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has spoken to US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky following their extraordinary exchange in the Oval Office.A statement from No 10 on Friday night confirmed the prime minister had spoken with the US and Ukrainian presidents and that he retained "unwavering support for Ukraine".

Starmer will convene a gathering of European leaders at Downing Street on Sunday to plan how to police a future Ukraine peace deal.

Volodymyr Zelensky has arrived in the UK a day earlier than expected after a tumultuous visit to the US, which saw him publicly humiliated by Donald Trump
