Gov. Joe Lombardo may have struck a conciliatory tone toward legislative Democrats in his state of the state speech last week, but errors made by his office are bringing early acrimony to the state budgeting process.

The proposed executive, two-year budget as submitted to lawmakers contained a $335 million deficit, but the Governor’s Finance Office said it is working on amendments to fix the imbalance.

In the year’s first legislative budget meeting Tuesday, Democratic lawmakers said the budget  released last week went $335 million in the red without offsetting revenue.
