Virginia Giuffre, who was the victim of sexual exploitation at the hands of Jeffrey Epstein and also accused Britain's Prince Andrew of underage abuse, has died by suicide, her family confirmed.

In separate, since-settled claims, Giuffre accused Epstein of sex trafficking, and said Andrew sexually abused her when she was under 18.

Virginia Roberts Giuffre, a survivor of child sexual abuse whose crusade against Jeffrey Epstein led to his arrest and changed the way the criminal-justice system treats victims of sexual assault, has died by suicide, her family announced Friday. She was 41.
