UK stocks were lower on Friday, with the FTSE 100 easing from a record high, as the pound recovered ground and investors tread cautiously ahead of a closely watched U.S. jobs report.

FTSE 100 futures are down about 0.3%, after the index rallied to another record high yesterday. The pound is a touch lower for the session, though holding above $1.24. We have Halifax house-price data coming at 7 a.
