The Chicago Bears continue to make moves ahead of free agency, signing veteran tight end Durham Smythe, as the team continues to strengthen the roster under new head coach Ben Johnson. Smythe is reportedly signing to a one-year deal with Chicago after spending the first seven seasons of his career with the Miami Dolphins.

On Thursday, it was reported the Bears are signing veteran tight end Durham Smythe to a one-year deal. A former fourth-round pick out of Notre Dame, Smythe has spent his entire seven-year career with the Miami Dolphins but now heads to Chicago for a reunion with head coach Ben Johnson,

Tight end Durham Smythe has found a new team. Per Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, Smythe is signing a one-year deal with the Bears. Smythe, 29, spent his first seven seasons with the Dolphins before the club released him last month.
