Following the blockbuster NBA trade that sent star point guard to the Los Angeles Lakers for star big man Anthony Davis, many fans of the Dallas Mavericks were angry. Much of the anger was geared toward general manager Nico Harrison as they couldn't believe he traded Doncic away.

The Dallas Mavericks are still the most polarizing team of the trade deadline, and moves have been made since they dealt Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Dallas Mavericks made arguably one of the biggest draft-day trades in 2018 when they acquired Luka Doncic from the Atlanta Hawks in exchange for Trae Young. In just a couple of years, Doncic blossomed into a superstar and gave Mavericks fans hope of winning another NBA Championship after 2011.

For Harrison, winning just one title without Dončić won't do. He is all in, cards to the center of the table, certain he will prevail.

Let’s set the record straight. The Luka Doncic trade was not a basketball move for the Mavericks. Premise #1: the Mavs trading Luka, at 25 years old 1 of the top 3 players in the world, to the Lakers in return for broken down 32 year old Anthony “Street Clothes” Davis makes no sense as a basketball move.
