The woman accused of violently stabbing a Boston lawyer to death on his houseboat in Charlestown last weekend is being held without bail as chilling new details emerged about the alleged slaying.

A distraught friend of the victim said he was a Boston lawyer and a divorced father of three. Sources said his dog was also found dead in the harbor.

Police were conducting a welfare check at the houseboat, which was docked at the Charlestown Marina, when they found the body of Joseph Donohue, 65, police said.

Boston police are asking for assistance in identifying two individuals involved in the dognapping of a French Bulldog named Bodega on Wednesday.

Detectives said a French Bulldog named Bodega wandered from the area and was picked up by two people on a scooter around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, who were last seen with the dog in the area of Ceylon Street and Quincy Street.
