At the Colorado State Capitol on Saturday, thousands gathered to protest for International Women's Day. The day commemorates the fight for equality and the women's rights movement.

Today, we celebrate the incredible women that have helped make our lives so great. This year, the theme is “Accelerate Action." The International Women’s Day website says the theme “calls for increased momentum and urgency in addressing the systemic barriers and biases that women face, both in personal and professional spheres.”

Research suggests it will take until 2158 to reach full gender parity at the current rate of progress. Business leaders must shift their mindset to accelerate action.
