Newegg is blaming President Trump's tariffs on Chinese imports for price hikes on Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 5090 and 5080 graphics cards. On Wednesday, customers noticed sudden price increases on the coveted GPUs across Newegg’s site.

Compared to Nvidia's MSRP, the RTX 5090 is selling for $300 to $1,400 over asking price, while the RTX 5080 is around $140 to $500 higher at MSI and Asus stores. Currently, all of these GPUs are out of stock

I don’t think any RTX 5090 is worth 70% more than MSRP, but that’s what you’ll pay for the priciest flagship Nvidia GPU.

MSI and Asus have raised the prices of Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 and 5080 gaming GPUs by hundreds of dollars, just a week after the launch.

Some custom GeForce RTX 5090 and 5080 models have gone in price in the wake of a 10% tariff on Chinese imports.

Asus and MSI were among the first to increase prices in their U.S. online stores, although the GPUs are out of stock.
